Job Summary:

As an EEG Technician at Baptist Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by performing EEG studies, preparing patients for studies, and maintaining equipment. You will work closely with patients, physicians, and staff to ensure accurate and timely results. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform EEG studies in accordance with American Society of Neurodiagnostic Technologists guidelines.
  • Prepare patients for studies, including technical preparation and patient education.
  • Coordinate patient transportation through the Patient Tracking system.
  • Manage paperwork involved with studies, including patient logs.
  • Assist patients and physicians as needed within the department.
  • Report equipment needs, including equipment malfunctions, and troubleshoot when necessary.
  • Assist with daily maintenance of equipment.
  • Serve as a technical resource for patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Format disks, make backup copies of digital EEG patient studies, and archive digital EEGs.
  • Follow hospital and department policies and procedures.

Requirements:

A. At least one year of experience in the medical field.
B. One year as an EEG tech preferred.
C. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
D. Must maintain certification in Basic Life Support.
