Senior Data Governance Lead Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Governance Lead Analyst to join our team at Citigroup Inc. in Tampa, Florida. As a key member of our Data Governance team, you will play a critical role in driving the development and implementation of our Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, Data Risk and Control Framework, and Data Risk Taxonomy.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with stakeholders to establish, manage, and implement policy adoption plans, compliance metrics, communications, and training.
- Lead business analysis through the collection, analysis, review, documentation, and communication of business needs and requirements to understand requirements and align them with Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls standards.
- Contribute to the establishment of Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls standards in alignment with the Enterprise Chief Data Office and ensure proper documentation of processes.
- Support key Data Transformation projects across the organization as a Subject Matter Expert in data management.
- Lead activities to ensure roles and responsibilities related to data are understood and implemented across businesses.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely execution of milestones, provide reporting of potential risks to delivery, and incorporate milestone reporting and changes.
- Capture requirements, develop delivery plans, and manage the entire lifecycle of metrics and report production.
- Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Extensive experience in the Banking or Finance industry in a Data Governance/Data Management/Process Engineering or equivalent role.
- Working knowledge of industry-standard Data Management practices, Data Governance, and Data Compliance within large, financial services firms.
- Experience in delivering change and transformation - project/programme management/business analysis/testing.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive consensus and influence relationships at all levels.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across diverse business lines and functions.
- Ability to optimize work processes by balancing effective and efficient processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Organizational savvy, with an understanding of systems, management processes, and the ability to interpret them.
- Data Management certification (e.g., DAMA).
- Programme/change management/Agile certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, SAFE).
- Knowledge of and an interest in commonly used Data Management tooling and approaches (e.g., Data Quality, Data Lineage, etc.).
- Understanding of current and emerging data-dependent technologies and products, including analytics, Cloud, and AI.
