Job Summary

The Milieu Counselor plays a vital role in our multidisciplinary team, providing a safe and structured environment for patients in crisis on our inpatient psychiatric unit. This position requires a strong understanding of patient care and a commitment to delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care according to CHA standards.
  • Deliver care that is tailored to the individual needs of patients, taking into account their age, development, and clinical status.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement a patient's daily plan.
  • Participate in unit-based Quality Improvement Plans and attend meetings as required.
  • Follow unit safety maintenance and checks procedures, and demonstrate accurate and timely documentation of safety checks, surveillance, and close observation.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures of the Cambridge Health Alliance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; B.A, B.S., or M.A. preferred or equivalent years human service experience.
  • Certification (BLS) required.
  • Human Services experience preferred.
