Job Title: Milieu Counselor

Cambridge Health Alliance is seeking a skilled Milieu Counselor to join our team at the Child and Adolescent Neurodevelopment Inpatient Unit. As a Milieu Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and structured environment for patients in crisis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, laundry, toileting, and general organization.
  • Lead or co-lead groups to promote socialization and skill-building.
  • Perform safety checks and conduct 1:1 meetings with patients to address their individual needs.
  • Accurately chart patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required; B.A, B.S., or M.A. preferred or equivalent years of human service experience.
  • Registered Behavioral Therapist (RBT) certification is preferred, but not required. CHA is pleased to provide RBT certification for those interested.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Prior human services, behavioral, or psychiatric experience strongly preferred.
