**Summer Programs Overview**
Our summer programs provide enriching experiences for children, focusing on personal development and leadership skills. We cater to students from PreK through 8th grade, offering tailored sessions that engage their interests. Our camps emphasize experiential learning in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM), fostering creativity and confidence in every child.
**Position Overview**
The Aquatic Safety Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of campers during water activities. This position focuses on teaching swimming skills, building confidence, and promoting a safe aquatic environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive in preventing accidents and capable of responding effectively to emergencies.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Monitor and ensure the safety of all participants in and around the pool area.
- Deliver engaging swim instruction that enhances campers' skills and comfort in the water.
- Implement and enforce pool safety regulations and policies.
- Collaborate with the Aquatics Director to develop and execute lesson plans tailored to camper needs.
- Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for staff and campers.
- Maintain a vigilant presence to identify and address potential hazards.
**Qualifications**
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Current certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and AED are required.
- Experience working with children in aquatic settings is essential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to enforce safety protocols effectively.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
**Working Conditions**
Position may require extended periods of standing or walking, both in and out of the water. Physical ability to respond to emergencies and lift equipment as needed is essential.
