As a member of our team, you will work under the guidance of experienced project managers and engineers, developing skills in report preparation, design, and construction administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist project managers in developing plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project teams to design and construct pipelines, storage tanks, pump stations, and treatment systems for rural water and related municipal facilities.
  • Perform construction observation and administration tasks.
  • Assist surveyors with field work on crews performing data gathering for designs or construction staking.
  • Prepare technical reports and maintain project tracking information.
  • Occasionally work evenings and weekends with varying overtime expectations based on workload.
  • Occasionally travel to off-site locations, including overnight stays out of town.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Fundamentals in Engineering certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
  • ArcGIS or ArcGIS Pro experience.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to travel and work remotely as required.
  • Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle records searches.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior internship experience on water, wastewater, industrial, or rural water projects.
  • Understanding of project life cycles and project management principles.
  • Experience with writing project specifications and successful total project cost estimating.
