Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Waste Route Driver to join our team. As a Medical Waste Route Driver, you will be responsible for servicing assigned accounts in a safe, timely, and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned routes to ensure customers' waste is picked up in a safe and timely manner.
  • Pick up and transport waste safely according to federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
  • Plan daily schedules based on customers' needs by reviewing daily paperwork and following routing software route schedules.
  • Unload trucks at various Stericycle and customer sites, ensuring waste is secured.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily, communicating any issues to the Transportation Manager or Dispatcher for resolution.
  • Ensure waste, supplies, and material handling equipment are secured prior to operating the vehicle on a public highway.
  • Complete assigned paperwork legibly, neatly, accurately, and completely, and return it to the Transportation Supervisor or Dispatcher for processing.
Requirements
  • 6+ months of experience in driving shred/box trucks and route management.
  • Valid standard driver's license (Class D or above) with an excellent driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a valid Medical Examiner Card (MED).
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records as required by federal regulation.
