This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work as a Clinical Nurse (OB-GYN) Professional in the Department of Defense. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide professional nursing care to obstetrical and gynecological patients, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Participate in education and training programs to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in peer review activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
- A graduate or higher-level degree in nursing from an accredited professional nursing educational program.
- A current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- At least one full year of professional nursing experience (equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or above) which includes providing nursing care to obstetrical or gynecological patients, coordinating patient care, and educating patients or staff.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The selected candidate will be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, and to be available to work overtime as needed.
