- Verify patient payor sources and maintain insurance authorizations and initial certifications.
- Collaborate with Nursing Supervisors, patients, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
- Provide effective communication to patients, staff members, and referral sources.
- Respond to agency and patient needs in a professional and creative manner.
- Demonstrate commitment, professional growth, and competency.
- Participate in agency-sponsored in-service training and the QAPI program.
- Promote the agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.
- Minimum one year of experience in referral intake is preferred.
- Experience with third-party payers, Medicare, and Medicaid is highly desirable.
- Medical field background and familiarity with medical terminology are preferred.
- Excellent computer and customer service skills are essential.
- LVN/LPN is preferred, and a valid driver's license and auto insurance are required.
