Support Staff Technician Opportunity at Meridian Health Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Support Staff Technician to join our team at Meridian Health Services. As a Support Staff Technician, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of our primary care office in Mooresville, IN.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, clients, and the general public
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, schedule appointments, and take messages
  • Collect patient co-pays and payments, and perform general cashier duties
  • Retrieve medical records from outside providers and create medical record charts for new patients
  • Maintain a working knowledge of release of information procedures per Meridian policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years secretarial/office experience preferred
  • Previous experience in a medical setting strongly preferred
  • Computer proficiency and ability to type and/or use computer in order to complete data entry and telephone duties
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • A valid driver's license with a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
