You will be responsible for coordinating the auction house sales and art fairs throughout the year, generating new business opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of sales experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all HR policies and procedures, as well as adhering to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including auction houses, designers, galleries, agents, and collectors.
- Project Management: Manage small and large projects from quote stage to billing completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Shipping and Logistics: Ensure all shipping aspects of client requirements are adhered to, including service specifications, and manage the whole client experience of the shipping process.
- Documentation and Compliance: Document the goods inward/outward process for international shipments, including maintenance of all incoming consolidated sea shipments from start to finish, and ensure compliance with international requirements and restrictions.
- Inventory and Commercial Invoices: Maintain accurate inventories and commercial invoices, ensuring compliance with international requirements and restrictions.
- Permits and Licenses: Apply for CITES, NOAA, Fish and Wildlife permits as required.
- Turnaround Times and Scheduling: Plan and schedule the process of collection, packing, and shipping to ensure timely delivery.
- Account Management: Ensure all accounts are maintained to the highest level, running the shipment as cost-efficiently as possible without damaging client satisfaction.
- Resource Management: Use all resources available to ensure the highest client satisfaction, including coordinating with the Dispatch and Operational departments.
- Support and Collaboration: Support the VP of Client Services and Senior Account Managers with their day-to-day workload, including setting up client files, producing bills of lading, and generating invoices.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Industry Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of the fine art industry, including auction houses, designers, galleries, agents, and collectors.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to build and grow connections with people of all types and backgrounds.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to use intuition to resolve any issues and complaints from clients.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at once.
- Time Management: Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task as required.
- Teamwork: A team player, able to work with all levels of staff in a dynamic environment.
