Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse at Prisma Health, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our team in a physician specialty practice setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, education, and support to patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Function as a clinical and community resource, educator, and consultant, utilizing advanced nursing knowledge and experience to influence nursing practice.
  • Assess and evaluate extensive health histories, evaluating the effectiveness of care and making changes as needed.
  • Perform phone triage accurately, involving physicians when necessary, and utilizing critical thinking skills to handle patient concerns.
  • Triage current patient populations and incoming referrals, prioritizing scheduling of office visits and testing with physician input.
  • Identify learning needs of patients and/or families, working with team members and community resources to develop and carry out educational plans.
  • Assist with in-office procedures, providing comfort and safety measures for patients before, during, and after procedures.
  • Maintain a safe environment, fostering awareness of safety procedures, protocols, and adherence to patient care standards.
  • Champion the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement projects and policies and procedures specific to the specialty area.
  • Evaluate own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards, guidelines, state statues, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, and current specific knowledge.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • 1 year of Clinical Nursing Experience within specialty or related applicable specialty.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in specialty area.
  • IV insertion and maintenance experience.
