Performance Improvement Specialist

Job Summary
The Performance Improvement Coord is responsible for supporting the design, monitoring, analysis, and improvement of patient care and organizational functions. This role participates in the development and implementation of the Hospital's Performance Improvement Program, identifying areas for improvement and conducting studies to drive positive change.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director, Quality/Risk Management to develop and implement performance improvement initiatives
- Conduct data analysis and present findings to medical staff, clinical departments, and services
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to drive quality improvement
- Participate in clinical case review activities and develop methods for deficiency resolution
- Utilize Microsoft Office, Midas, and other system-wide computer data-based software applications to support performance improvement efforts
Requirements
- Equivalent to two years of training from an accredited college, preferably in a healthcare-related field
- Minimum one to two years of experience as a registered nurse, RHIT, or RHIA
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to present data and findings to various stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
