Job Overview:

This role entails the comprehensive setup, service, and cleanup of catering functions. The Hospitality Banquet Associate will deliver guest service in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner, adhering to Cedar Fair's grooming, attendance, and operational standards.

Compensation: The pay rate for this position is $15.00/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Transport large trays, weighing up to 30 lbs, through busy areas consistently throughout the shift.
  2. Adhere to departmental and Cedar Fair's operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  3. Ensure timely service of food and beverages.
  4. Inspect all equipment for cleanliness and damage.
  5. Execute table setups as instructed and in accordance with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  6. Prepare rooms as directed by BEO.
  7. Serve food in line with BEO and guidance from shift leaders.
  8. Provide exceptional service with a positive attitude.
  9. Report any unsafe or unusual conditions to management.
  10. Follow proper chemical and safety protocols.
  11. Maintain cleanliness of all equipment, guest areas, and service zones while adhering to safety standards.
  12. Enforce policies regarding alcohol consumption during events.
  13. Take breaks and meal periods as per the posted schedule and company policies.
  14. Assist in breaking down rooms post-event as directed by the Banquet Team Leader or Banquet Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Adhere to established service standards.
  • Possess a valid California Food Handler's card.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests and visitors.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
