About the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to manage the Agriculture & Natural Resources program in Banks County. The successful candidate will provide educational opportunities in production agriculture, horticulture, and natural resources to a wide variety of audiences utilizing multiple teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement educational programs in production agriculture, horticulture, and natural resources
- Collaborate with advisory groups, community leaders, public officials, and representatives of intended audiences to analyze data and identify needs
- Develop and conduct relevant interdisciplinary programs with other staff members based on critical issues
- Conduct promotional efforts to expand the public's view of extension programming
- Utilize current research data and information on emerging issues in program development and teaching
- Ensure the Civil Rights/Equal Opportunity plan of UGA Cooperative Extension is followed
- A Master's degree in a relevant field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable private vehicle for official duty travel
