The Northeast District CES is a key component of CAES, providing expertise and resources to support the agricultural and natural resource needs of the region.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as the Banks County Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent. This is a unique opportunity to work with farmers, ranchers, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable agriculture practices, conserve natural resources, and improve the overall quality of life in the region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs, conducting research, and providing technical assistance to support the agricultural and natural resource needs of the community.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement educational programs to promote sustainable agriculture practices and conserve natural resources.
- Conduct research to identify and address the agricultural and natural resource needs of the community.
- Provide technical assistance to farmers, ranchers, and other stakeholders to support the development of sustainable agriculture practices.
- Collaborate with other extension agents, researchers, and stakeholders to leverage resources and expertise.
A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as agriculture, natural resources, or a related field, is required. A master's degree or higher is preferred. The successful candidate will have a strong background in agriculture and natural resources, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
