Education Requirement: Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience and/or training preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY: This role provides essential administrative assistance to the Human Resources Department. Collaborates with the HR Manager on various projects as assigned. Responsible for clerical, secretarial, and administrative tasks related to Human Resources. Engages with the public, offers customer support, manages data processing, and maintains records. Acts as a backup for other HR responsibilities as necessary.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by fostering trust and a positive environment; strive to meet and exceed departmental objectives.
- Organize and manage specific projects as directed by the supervisor.
- Handle incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or personnel.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Adhere to FCC policies and set a standard for the facility; HR functions are held to a higher level of accountability.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all HR-related matters, including benefits, hiring practices, job descriptions, performance assessments, and disciplinary processes, to effectively assist employees with their HR needs.
- Assist with monitoring HR email communications and documentation as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Exhibit a high level of interpersonal skills to manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Possess knowledge of office administration practices.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating standard office equipment.
- Display attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofreading materials, while establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Exhibit excellent verbal communication skills.
- Apply common sense and understanding to execute detailed written or verbal instructions.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Be customer service-oriented and able to collaborate effectively as a team member.
- Provide daily updates to regional managers regarding new applicants.
- Notify team members weekly about expired liability insurances and driver's licenses.
- Issue offer letters on a daily basis.
- Add applicants to the New Hire Queue daily.
- Conduct monthly Employee LEIE Checks.
- Complete weekly turnover reports.
- Assist in ensuring compliance of Bulletin Boards.
- This position is safety-sensitive.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience and/or training preferred.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business literature, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups of employees and management.
MATHEMATICAL ABILITY:
- Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Proficient in computer software including Windows Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
