Inventory Control Specialist

As an Inventory Control Clerk at Advics Manufacturing Georgia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct regular inventory cycle counts, enter results into our database, and assist with monthly cycle counts. You will also work closely with the Production Control Coordinator to plan physical inventory dates and activities, and coordinate with Production Management to ensure necessary labor availability. Additionally, you will serve as a backup to the Production Control Coordinator when needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct work in process and finished goods inventory cycle counts two times per week, unless otherwise directed
Enter the results of cycle counts in database
Assist with monthly cycle counts
Assist Production Control Coordinator with planning of physical inventory dates and activities
Coordinate with Production Management to ensure necessary labor availability for physical inventory activities
Conduct a physical inventory 2 times per year
Serve as a back up to the Production Control Coordinator when needed
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) skills
Effective communications skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work without direct supervision
Work Environment
The work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, such as working around moving machines in production facilities, and protective clothing or gear such as safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes is required.
Physical Demands
The job requires some physical strain, such as standing and walking in production facilities, and lifting of moderately heavy items weighing up to 50 lbs on an intermittent basis.
