The Cannabis Cultivation Specialist will be responsible for executing all activities within the indoor cultivation environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee mother plant care, cloning, transplanting, nutrient and pH management, water regulation, airflow optimization, and control of temperature and humidity.
- Implement pest and disease management strategies, including the execution of an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program, and facilitate the transition of plants from the vegetative to flowering stages.
- Organize and schedule plant activities to accurately forecast daily, weekly, and monthly plant requirements to achieve optimal yield.
- Maintain meticulous records of plant organization, tagging, and pruning waste.
- Knowledge of pest and disease management is advantageous.
- Adhere to and uphold the cultivation department's policies and procedures.
- Ensure thorough cleaning and sanitization of all tools and equipment, inspecting for pests, viruses, or diseases.
- Adapt cultivation techniques to various cannabis strains and styles, ensuring consistent quality and pace.
- Efficiently separate usable product from waste during the harvesting process, tracking unusable waste for each batch.
- Familiarity with METRC compliance is a plus.
- Demonstrate proficiency and accuracy in meeting production standards.
- Strive for increased productivity while maintaining organization and cleanliness within the cultivation facility.
- Exhibit strong organizational, tracking, and communication skills.
- Work efficiently to achieve goals while consistently delivering high-quality products.
- Follow instructions and accept constructive feedback from supervisors to uphold quality standards and production objectives.
- Arrive punctually for shifts, prepared to work.
- Maintain personal hygiene and adhere to health guidelines while handling patient products.
- Participate in the cleanup of processing areas and equipment at the end of each shift.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old and pass a criminal background check.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Availability for rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in agriculture, warehouse, manufacturing, or labor roles is preferred.
- Commitment to the company's mission and adherence to high ethical standards.
- Flexibility to assist in various departmental tasks as directed by supervisors, including supporting grow staff, cleaning, and equipment relocation.
- Ability to identify issues with strains/products and communicate effectively with supervisors.
- Basic understanding of cannabis laws and regulations, with a willingness to expand knowledge in the industry.
- Strong teamwork skills and adaptability to changes in policies and procedures.
- Utilize independent judgment in product processing while maintaining quality and production goals.
- Foster a positive work environment, demonstrating self-motivation and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Support and motivate team members to create a cohesive working unit.
- Manage time effectively to meet production goals while ensuring quality.
- Ability to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism to maintain standards.
- Understand and implement company policies and cultivation department procedures.
- Possess foundational knowledge in cultivation, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
- Demonstrate analytical skills to identify potential plant or product issues.
- Exhibit self-motivation and the ability to collaborate with all staff members.
- Effective communication skills with supervisors and colleagues.
