Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team at HiEmployment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and pies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mixing and Preparing Doughs and Batters: You will be responsible for mixing, prepping, and baking doughs, batters, pastries, and quick breads to meet our high-quality standards.
  • Preparing Desserts and Pastries: You will prepare, plate, and platter all desserts and pastries for day-of and next-day events, ensuring they are visually appealing and meet our quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: You will be responsible for keeping track of production and discard dates of all items, with a focus on maintaining product quality and ensuring we meet our inventory pars.
  • Communication and Teamwork: You will work closely with our Pastry Chef and Executive Chef to communicate daily tasks and needs, ensuring seamless production and quality control.
Requirements
  • Experience and Education: You should have six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Formal culinary education is preferred.
  • Baking Techniques and Methods: You should have knowledge of basic baking techniques and methods, including the ability to roll a variety of croissants and danishes.
  • Recipe Reading and Measurement: You should be able to read and follow recipes, measuring ingredients properly according to recipe guidelines.
  • Lifting and Mobility: You should be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Health and Safety: You should have a valid TB clearance and a reliable form of transportation.
  • Reliability and Dependability: You should be dependable and reliable for shifts when scheduled.
