Pediatric Social Services Specialist

Job Summary:
Dartmouth Health is seeking a skilled Pediatric Social Worker to join our team. As a Pediatric Social Worker, you will provide assessment, counseling, and resource assistance to patients and families in outpatient pediatrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of patients and families.
- Provide counseling to individuals and families to address social and emotional problems.
- Coordinate community resources to meet identified needs.
- Assist families in adapting to difficult and complicated dispositions involving complex care needs.
- Provide consultation, assessment, and coordination in cases of suspected child or dependent adult abuse or neglect.
- Organize support groups and document clinical data in the medical record.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
- Social work experience in an acute, home care, or ambulatory setting preferred.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Sound decision-making and judgment.
- Time management and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to deal with conflict resolution.
