Senior Civil Engineering Project Leader

Position Overview:

As a Project Leader in the field of Civil Engineering at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will oversee project teams dedicated to developing land use strategies for our diverse clientele, including commercial, institutional, and residential sectors. Your role will encompass project management, quality assurance, client interaction, proposal drafting, and the guidance of junior engineers across a spectrum of projects, from urban redevelopment to new educational facilities in suburban areas.

In your capacity as a mentor, you will evaluate project designs that involve site planning, grading, stormwater management, erosion control, and utility infrastructure. Your engagement with clients, contractors, and local government representatives will influence the entire project lifecycle, from initial concepts and design stages through regulatory approvals, bidding processes, and construction, culminating in successful project completions.

Location Flexibility:
Applicants have the option to work from various office locations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification in Massachusetts is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in service scope and budget development, with a track record of managing projects profitably.
  • Strong ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
  • Capability to conduct technical reviews of Civil Engineering deliverables.
  • Experience in proposal preparation and project execution management.
  • Proficient in client engagement, networking, and business development.
