This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain insights into the telecommunications field, particularly in the realm of advanced 5G technology. The Telecommunications Construction Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the outside plant construction teams in their daily operations.

The primary responsibilities include assisting with various projects, specifically focusing on the deployment of Verizon wireless initiatives. This encompasses tasks such as:

  • Cable installations
  • Site surveying
  • Equipment setup and organization

As a key support member, you will work closely with the lead technician to ensure project timelines are met efficiently. Daily activities will involve traveling to different cell sites, where you will meet at designated locations to begin work.

This position is primarily outdoors, requiring adaptability to various weather conditions. Should severe weather impede work, alternative tasks will be assigned at the shop.

Essential Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Outside Plant Telecommunications Construction.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools with a solid mechanical aptitude (preferably in telecommunications).
  • Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic.
