Acoustic Analyst for Maritime Surveillance Systems

Are you passionate about working with cutting-edge technologies and contributing to improving essential U.S. Naval capabilities through acoustic analysis, testing, and evaluation?

About the Role

As an Acoustic Analyst for Maritime Surveillance Systems, you will assess system design and influence capability development for the U.S. Navy. You'll work alongside engineers and analysts, collaborating on in-lab and at-sea system performance assessments to inform future development decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate system design and performance in various scenarios
  • Collaborate with engineers and analysts to inform capability development
  • Conduct in-lab and at-sea system performance assessments
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in sonar and anti-submarine warfare
Qualifications
  • Earned a Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) Code or Commissioned Officer Designator related to sonar or anti-submarine warfare, or possess a BS degree in Mathematics, Science, or Engineering
  • Extensive relevant experience in surveillance systems operations, training, and testing
  • Strong interpersonal, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Willingness to participate in system tests at sponsor or operational navy sites
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience leading a technical team
  • Previous experience with U.S. Navy SURTASS, LFA or CLFA systems and/or systems performance analysis
  • Knowledge of and previous experience using the Integrated Common Processor (ICP)
  • Active Top Secret clearance
