Job Title: MEP Superintendent

Turner Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead our construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of our projects, from planning to execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate the work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor on Mechanical and Electrical systems.
  • Ensure safety, schedule delivery, quality of work performed, and adherence to budget.
  • Supervise Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, Interns, and trade labor.
  • Manage site safety programs and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and safety codes.
  • Develop and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule and budget.
  • Communicate with owners and architects/engineers on field issues and resolve them.
  • Manage billing process, work in place, and oversee monthly estimates, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications.
  • Ensure work is installed in compliance with approved contract documents.
  • Coordinate with the Engineer on mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and piping layouts.
  • Lead project inspections, startup, commissioning, turnover, and training process.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum six years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience.
  • Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling, and cost control procedures.
  • Specific knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical Systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of building information modeling and its use in coordination of project systems.
  • Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite.
Physical Demands:

Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders, and negotiate work areas under construction.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock.
