Job Overview

The role of the Daytime Cleaner is essential for maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of the fitness facility. This position involves performing various light cleaning tasks to ensure that all areas meet the high standards expected by members.

Work Schedule:
4 hours per day, 4 days per week, typically from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Compensation:
Salary will be discussed based on prior experience.

Key Responsibilities

The Daytime Cleaner is responsible for a range of cleaning activities to keep the gym environment tidy and welcoming. Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Cleaner will:

  • Clean glass surfaces and mirrors
  • Wipe down gym equipment, doors, and floors as needed
  • Empty trash bins on a daily basis
  • Sweep and mop flooring
  • Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, including tiles, showers, walls, sinks, mirrors, and lockers
  • Dust surfaces regularly
  • Collect debris and mop rubber flooring
  • Ensure vacuum cleaner bags or canisters are cleaned daily
  • Report any maintenance issues promptly and accurately
Qualifications
  • A minimum of three (3) months of experience in cleaning or janitorial services
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time management abilities
  • Proven capability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Ability to engage professionally as part of a team
