Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at the University of Maryland Medical System. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and supporting the healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and assistance with activities of daily living.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Participate in cost-effective strategies to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Ensure patient safety and maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Maryland state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) required.
  • One (1) year of previous experience preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
