Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Saint Joseph Health System. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Responsibilities

Preparation for scheduled operations and arrangement of sterile equipment according to established procedures.

Assisting surgeons by passing instruments and supplies, holding retractors, and anticipating their needs during surgery.

Cleaning and maintaining the operating room, as well as storing equipment and supplies.

Requirements

High School graduate with formal training as a surgery tech.

Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA).

2 years of experience in the operating room as a surgical technologist.

Knowledge of operating room procedures, patient safety procedures, and safety and infection control procedures.

Skilled in effective participation on the surgical team and equipment maintenance.
