We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Saint Joseph Health System. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare for scheduled operations and arrange sterile set-ups of instrument tables according to established procedures.
- Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies, holding retractors, and anticipating their needs during the course of surgery.
- Clean the operating room and store equipment and supplies.
- High School graduate with formal training as a surgery tech. Associates in allied health surgical technology preferred.
- Surgical Technologist certification required, unless Surgical Technologist program was completed prior to 2009. Those who completed prior to 2009 will be required to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
- 2 years of experience in the operating room as a surgical technologist.
