About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Waterview Hills Campus in North Salem, Westchester County. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents and contributing to our facility's commitment to excellence in rehabilitation and skilled nursing care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation of residents with decreased functions.
  • Conduct physical therapy programs under the supervision of the Physical Therapist, ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care.
  • Perform treatment programs for assigned residents, including entering billing information in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Report resident progress in meetings and consult with other members of the rehabilitation team to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities.
  • Provide residents with equipment as needed and chart notes in an informative and descriptive manner.
  • Cooperate with all departments and staff to promote harmonious working conditions and optimal resident care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Licensed in NY State as a Physical Therapist Assistant; license in good standing.
  • Previous skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and handicapped.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to treat residents and fellow staff with respect, dignity, and compassion.
