About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Waterview Hills Campus in Westchester County. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents.

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant will assist in planning, organizing, and implementing physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation of residents who have experienced a decrease in functions. You will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to ensure the highest degree of quality resident care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and implementing physical therapy programs for assigned residents
  • Perform treatment programs for assigned residents
  • Enter billing information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Report resident progress in meetings as deemed required or appropriate
  • Consult with other members of the rehabilitation team to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities
  • Provide residents with equipment as appropriate
  • Chart notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the therapy provided to the residents, as well as the resident's response to the therapy
  • Perform routine documentation as required and in accordance with our established charting and documentation policies and procedures
  • Cooperate with all departments and staff to promote optimal resident care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Licensed in NY State as a Physical Therapist Assistant; license in good standing
  • Previous skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience highly preferred
  • Work well under pressure & willing to work harmoniously with all staff
  • Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and handicapped
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to communicate well verbally with residents, families and staff
  • Treat residents and fellow staff with respect, dignity, and compassion
