About the Role

The District of Columbia Circuit Court of Appeals is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Director of Workplace Relations. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement workplace relations policies and procedures that align with the court's mission and values
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on employment-related matters, including conflicts and disputes
  • Collaborate with HR and management teams to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Conduct investigations and resolve workplace complaints in a fair and timely manner
  • Develop and deliver training programs to promote a positive and inclusive work environment

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in workplace relations, HR, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including Title VII and the Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve complex workplace issues
