Leasing and Compliance Assistant
Summary: Reporting to the Director of Leasing and Compliance, the Leasing and Compliance Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Leasing and Compliance Department by providing essential administrative and office assistance. This position is crucial in furthering the mission of WSFSSH to ensure safe and permanent housing for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address housing inquiries promptly and monitor application requests.
- Facilitate mail merges and track feedback.
- Assist the Occupancy team in scheduling interviews.
- Collect and maintain third-party income and asset verification documentation.
- Communicate housing decisions to applicants through various channels.
- Digitally organize documents and keep files updated as needed.
- Support the HCR annual Rent Registration process.
- Manage extensive data, including annual contract rent increases and compliance deadlines.
- Prepare reports for city, state, and federal agencies in a timely manner.
- Input data into RealPage's OneSite, the property management system.
- Assist with the lease-up process for new developments.
- Occasionally take minutes during meetings.
- Travel between offices and various sites as required.
- Participate in training sessions and conferences to enhance job skills.
- Assist with additional tasks as necessary.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong organizational and office management skills.
- Ability to independently solve problems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and internet navigation.
- Capable of effectively collaborating with supervisors and colleagues across the organization.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
- Experience in project management, affordable housing programs, and regulatory compliance is a plus.
Education:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma preferred.
