Job Title: Maintenance Technician

At Autokiniton, we are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, facilities, and electrical systems in our stamping and welding assembly plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dismantle and repair defective machines and equipment, and install new or repaired parts.
  • Assist with electrical repairs, including replacing welding transformers and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Repair automated machinery and equipment, such as robots.
  • Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect and repair any malfunctions.
  • Perform routine and repair maintenance on industrial pumps, scrap conveyors, and mechanical stamping presses.
  • Discuss machine operation variations with supervisors, operators, or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
  • Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
  • Set up and operate machine tools, such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines, to repair or fabricate machine parts, fixtures, and tools.
  • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Fabricate and repair tables, benches, racks, and other metal structures.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Use electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics for troubleshooting.
  • Understand, support, and implement company safety policies, quality policy, housekeeping, and continuous improvement skills into daily work habits.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety guidelines as required by OSHA and specified in the L&W mechanical/electrical standard (BMES) document.
Required Skills:
  • Valid Driver's license required.
  • Hilo license required.
  • Crane license required.
  • Ability to read and understand IATF16949, ISO9001:2015, and ISO-14001 procedures.
Required Experience:

Responsible for installation, maintenance, and repairs of machinery, equipment, facilities, and electrical systems in a stamping and welding assembly plant.

  • Must complete required classes in accordance with designated General Repair II Program.
  • Ability to read and understand IATF16949, ISO9001:2015, and ISO-14001 procedures.
