POSITION SUMMARY:

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Aviation Engineering Specialist to join our Infrastructure – Aviation Design Team. This role is pivotal in supporting the design and execution of aviation projects, ensuring that we meet the diverse needs of our clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Aviation Engineering Specialist, you will:

1. Collaborate with a team of skilled engineers to develop and implement design solutions for various aviation projects, including terminals, hangars, and runways.
2. Conduct technical analyses and prepare comprehensive reports, contract documents, and cost estimates for engineering tasks.
3. Identify and rectify technical discrepancies in analytical results to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
4. Maintain a thorough understanding of federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the practices and standards of both the firm and our clients.
5. Manage multiple projects efficiently, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to budgetary constraints and client expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience, with a preference for those with a background in aviation, pavement design, grading, and site design.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
- Strong theoretical knowledge in engineering principles and a willingness to learn and grow within the field.
- Familiarity with quality assurance and quality control procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
- A collaborative mindset, eager to support senior staff and contribute to team success.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $82,000, based on qualifications, experience, and industry standards.
