Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage and enhance your engineering background:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team focused on enhancing instrumentation and control systems within nuclear power facilities. These initiatives integrate electrical and mechanical engineering principles alongside control theory.
- Engage with electronic process sensors, digital controllers, touchscreen interfaces, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, steam turbines, and reactors to optimize the operational efficiency of nuclear power plants.
- Develop specifications for the acquisition of instrumentation and control equipment, along with performing engineering calculations related to plant upgrades and modifications.
- Enhance your knowledge and skills through mentoring, technical workshops, and practical training experiences.
- Participate in travel to client and vendor locations for design assessments and to plant sites for project coordination and verification of designs.
Qualifications
Note: We do not provide sponsorship for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, with a solid academic foundation and coursework in analog and digital control systems is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in design engineering for process control systems, or a Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program with relevant coursework.
- Coursework in mechatronics is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
