Job Title: Control Systems Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Security Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Electric Boat. As a key member of our Instrumentation and Control Systems and Software, Cybersecurity and Network Administration and Support group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security of our control systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate functional requirements, equipment operating context, and environments to provide recommendations and guidance on cybersecurity controls and customer-imposed security requirements.
  • Develop component-specific requirements and work closely with component engineers to implement control system security analysis and design.
  • Perform DoD/DoN platform information technology system analysis, development of security control implementation plans, system certification, and continuous monitoring.
  • Design, implement, operate, and maintain sensitive unclassified and classified computing systems in accordance with Naval Reactors and Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA) security policies.
  • Review equipment vendor software deliverables to evaluate compliance with cybersecurity requirements.
  • Acquire infrastructure used to configure shipboard systems and support this infrastructure during shipyard testing.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Systems/Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree.
  • 2-10 years of relevant system engineering and/or engineering experience.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Systems/Computer/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical degree; Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), A+ or equivalent certification; understanding of NIST 800-53 documentation; US Navy submarine service; active Final DoD SECRET clearance.
