Job Summary

RPS Career Services is seeking a highly skilled Certified Medication Aide/CNA to join our team in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a Medication Administration Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense oral, inhalation, and topical medications to patients, adhering to state laws and regulations.
  • Observe patients for drug reactions and report any issues to the nursing staff.
  • Perform tasks associated with medication administration, including vital sign monitoring, medication dosage calculation, and stocking the medication cart.
  • Record medication administration according to agency procedures.
  • Assist nurses in providing care to clients, including observation and reporting of client needs.
  • Recognize and perform tasks according to level of education and training.
  • Accept responsibility and accountability for own performance, adhering to state laws and regulations.
  • Perform tasks in an ethical, legal, and caring manner.
  • Perform tasks safely and effectively to ensure client comfort and welfare.
  • Protect confidential client information, unless otherwise required to promote client safety and welfare.
  • Follow federal, state, and agency regulations to protect own health and that of others.
  • Seek guidance from the nurse as needed to perform tasks safely and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • At least one year of healthcare industry experience.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Medication Aide certification.
  • Demonstrated experience with production of specialized materials and documents.
  • Proofreading and editing skills.
