Utilize grinding compounds, lubricants, coolants, solvents, air, acetylene, oxygen, cleaning agents, welding materials, machine components, assemblies, and more.
Employ hand and power tools typical to the machining trade, alongside computers and CNC machinery, as well as a variety of machine tools, precision measuring instruments, layout, and testing gauges. Operate heat treating apparatus, acetylene torches, welding, and metalizing tools. Handle material transport equipment such as hoists, forklifts, cranes, and trucks. Utilize dynamic balancers, ultrasonic testers, Rockwell testers, etc.
Set up, operate, and maintain workshop machinery including CNC lathes, conventional lathes, milling machines, grinders, shapers, drill presses, and assorted power hand tools. Plan, layout, fabricate, and repair components to precise tolerances using advanced measuring tools. Interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, handbooks, and general instructions. Heat treat and finish dies, tools, and machine components. Disassemble, assemble, repair, replace parts, and make accurate adjustments to machinery. Diagnose issues and apply creativity in resolving mechanical challenges. Complete reports and necessary documentation. Conduct operator services (preventive maintenance, lubrication) on equipment and report any defects. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain an organized workspace using job safety procedures and SPC methods.Hard Skills

Work EnvironmentVery heavy industrial setting - non-climate controlled. Certain areas may be extremely hot due to operational equipment and outdoor conditions. Standard working hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
