SYEP Educational Coordinator

The Madison Square Boys & Girls Club is seeking a highly motivated and experienced SYEP Educational Coordinator to join our Workforce Development department. This is a full-time seasonal position working Monday through Friday in the morning and afternoon.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement training tools, curricula, and educational materials to support the SYEP program goals.
  • Coordinate the SYEP orientation and job readiness component, ensuring a smooth and effective transition for participants.
  • Monitor and track participant attendance, ensuring accurate data for wage payment purposes.
  • Provide individual and group guidance and coaching to participants, focusing on attitudinal change, knowledge gains, and skills acquisition.
  • Attend relevant meetings and document activities as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of related experience working in the field of youth development or youth workforce development.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Excellent room management skills and proven ability to create a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Understanding of and sensitivity to the emotional, social, and academic needs of students during different developmental stages.
  • Experience working with youth and young adults ages 14-24.
