Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant II to join our team at Neurology Texas. As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
  • Take patient histories and vital signs, ensuring all EHR is current
  • Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy
  • Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals
  • Assist with scheduling of tests and treatments as needed for patients
  • Answer telephone calls to the practice and screen for referral
Requirements
  • Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR-OE credentials is highly preferred
  • Must obtain MA certification/ABR-OE credentials within one year of employment
  • New grads (within the last 12 months) from a Medical Assisting training program must obtain MA certification within 60 days of employment
  • Possession of active and unrevoked x-ray certification is required upon hire
