Job Summary and QualificationsJob Summary
As a Culinary Services Associate, you will be tasked with various responsibilities within the Food Service Department, which may include serving customers in the cafeteria, operating the cash register, providing meal services to patients, and performing cleaning and dishwashing duties.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serving meals to cafeteria patrons while maintaining knowledge of menu items and ingredients to address customer inquiries.
- Setting up and managing an assigned position on the tray line or cafeteria area.
- Preparing food items for the cafeteria and ensuring proper labeling.
- Maintaining food at appropriate serving temperatures and keeping accurate records.
- Ensuring a clean kitchen environment and adhering to food handling protocols.
- Cleaning floors, carts, dishware, and tables, as well as managing waste disposal and operating dishwashing equipment.
- Following hygiene and food safety standards.
- Functioning as a cafeteria cashier, efficiently processing cash and card transactions.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 6 months in food service.
Knowledge: Familiarity with kitchen sanitation, dishwashing, and cashier operations.
Education: Completion of 10th grade; High School diploma or GED preferred.
Licenses and Certifications: Current ServSafe Food Handler Permit or equivalent certification required within 7 days of hire.
