Key Responsibilities:- Conduct fire and life safety inspections of commercial and multi-family occupancies to ensure compliance with adopted fire and life safety codes and standards.
- Enforce Florida Fire Prevention Code, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, Florida State Statute, and the Rules of the State Fire Marshal.
- Identify and communicate hazardous materials to the hazardous materials coordinator for pre-fire incident planning.
- Inspect, test, and accept fire protection systems as installed within existing and new structures.
- State of Florida Municipal Fire Safety Inspection Certificate, in accordance with Florida Statute 633.
- A valid Florida Driver's License at time of hire.
- Use of take-home company vehicle for daily travel to work sites with fuel card.
