Geisinger is proud to offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates joining our outpatient Clinic as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN). Our extensive network of community locations empowers LPNs to maximize their skills while delivering exceptional care in an outpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities:
About ConvenientCare+: Geisinger ConvenientCare+ represents a pioneering model of advanced outpatient clinics. The "plus" signifies enhanced resources and staffing, enabling patients to receive care from physicians equipped with intravenous therapies and access to laboratory and imaging services that were traditionally hospital-based. This facility serves as a convenient alternative for patients facing challenges with ongoing treatments or experiencing acute exacerbations of chronic conditions, providing a viable option to emergency room visits for outpatient care.
As an LPN, you will provide essential clinical support to the healthcare provider, patients, and their families, aiding in the diagnosis and management of patient conditions. Responsibilities include ensuring the completion and accuracy of diagnostic tests, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and meeting the qualifications to care for patients across specific age groups in your designated clinical area.
- Document and obtain patient medical histories, chief complaints, vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Deliver direct clinical care as directed by the healthcare provider.
- Assist in minor surgical and diagnostic procedures as required by the provider to ensure accurate diagnosis.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, ensuring timely and accurate laboratory studies.
- Maintain ongoing patient communication as directed by the provider, prioritizing responses to patient inquiries to optimize provider efficiency.
- Administer medications and vaccines under the provider's guidance and within the scope of practice.
- Prepare and sanitize examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensuring aseptic conditions and availability of necessary instruments and equipment.
Position Highlights:
This role qualifies for a $5,000 sign-on bonus, distributed over two years, with certain stipulations applicable.
- Hours: The clinic operates Monday to Friday from 8:45 AM to 8:15 PM, and weekends from 7:45 AM to 6:15 PM.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
- Holidays: Closed on major holidays.
