POSITION SUMMARY:
This Billing Accountant role is focused on managing the financial transactions related to member services across various programs, including clubhouses, athletics, and child development initiatives. The individual will oversee all aspects of billing, including processing registrations, issuing refunds, applying credits, and managing scholarship allocations. Additionally, this position will contribute to the Finance Team during the annual financial audit, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the accounting cycle. The successful candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and foster transparent communication with employees, vendors, and stakeholders to support the organization's financial health.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate invoices and establish recurring billing processes for members.
- Process refunds and apply necessary credits.
- Administer scholarship applications and allocations.
- Compile and submit billing reports for agencies.
- Monitor and track childcare authorizations.
- Receive and process Military Youth Outreach forms.
- Reconcile payments and registrations within the financial management system.
- Participate in the annual audit process, including compiling member billing audit selections.
- Deliver proactive and professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures relevant to the role.
- Ensure the effective use of technology and tools in daily operations.
- Uphold confidentiality and security standards for departmental documents.
- Collaborate with team members to execute departmental initiatives and strategic plans.
- Provide input on strategic planning as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of two years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or office management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based registration systems, and advanced Excel functions, including formulas and pivot tables.
- Familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain first aid and CPR certification.
- Must pass a background check including name-based and fingerprint checks.
