Job Summary:


The Billing Specialist II is a key member of the Vitus Energy LLC team, responsible for providing accurate and timely invoicing services to customers. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Ensure customer accounts are set up correctly with all pertinent billing information and correct tax codes
  • Review, balance, and post location sales and payments
  • Oversee the timely process of each day's bank deposit and provide daily reports to the proper department
  • Investigate incorrect billings due to charges or credits on customers' accounts and prepare written instructions for correction
  • Communicate with Inventory to ensure inventory and sales are in balance by maintaining spreadsheets and providing sales reports
  • Participate in the weekly Finance Staff Meeting
  • Responsible for the maintenance of select accounts receivable accounts
  • Comply and maintain customer sales information reports for Marketing as requested
  • Ensure all supplies for billing and locations such as statements, invoices, meter tickets, etc. are sufficient
  • Ensure all A/R phone inquiries are answered


Requirements:



  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Associates Degree in related field
  • OR Two (2) years' accounting experience
  • Knowledge and experience reviewing contracts for billing requirements
  • Knowledge of Excel applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment where standardization does not exist
