Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our team at iParametrics. As a key member of our Construction Department, you will be responsible for coordinating electrical systems and ensuring the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate electrical elements and systems within the overall project design
  • Interface with area managers and subcontractors to resolve field coordination items
  • Interpret design and construction documents, technical manuals, and quantify materials required for construction
  • Organize and facilitate training of client personnel in the operations and maintenance of electrical elements and systems
  • Review and process submittal information and coordinate between multiple submittals to ensure accuracy and functionality
  • Generate, receive, and distribute requests for information (RFI)
  • Receive and distribute change documents issued by other team members
  • Field survey layout of control lines and benchmarks
  • Serve as the technical advisor at onsite field construction office
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of commercial building experience required
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent degree and/or equivalent field work experience required
  • Education background in materials and methods of construction
  • Strong team player with ability to collaborate with various personnel within and across departments and at all levels of leadership
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate changing construction schedule and sequences
  • Ability to spend equal amounts of time in a stationary position in an office environment and moving about the construction site
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work in confined spaces
  • Ability to work in proximity to loud equipment more than 50% of the time
  • Ability to lift or manipulate 50 pounds to 3 feet and carry or push it feet
  • Ability to regularly bend or twist to examine project work
  • Ability to regularly position self in a kneeling, crouching or crawling position to examine project work
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to coordinate civil, architectural, structural, and MEP systems within the overall project design
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all aspects of construction
  • Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills
  • Ability to work well and maintain a cooperative attitude through high-pressure situations
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work while frequently interrupted by phone calls and questions on work in progress
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to work closely with a variety of trade and craft people in a fieldwork situation

As a W2 employee of iParametrics, team members are eligible for benefits such as medical, dental and vision, and the company matching 401K plan, subject to plan terms and applicable waiting periods.

Compensation for this position is salaried ($82,000 – $105,000) based on experience, background, and skills.
