Position Summary

Glatfelter Insurance Group is in search of a Facilities & Grounds Supervisor. This pivotal role entails overseeing the maintenance, care, and efficient operation of all buildings, grounds, equipment, landscaping, and interior aesthetics. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring that maintenance and grounds are kept in a condition that meets the high standards of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with management to design, implement, and manage programs for the upkeep of facilities, equipment, and grounds, including snow removal operations.
  • Assist management in supervising significant repairs, renovations, and new construction projects.
  • Ensure availability to address facility-related issues as they arise.
  • Engage with relevant managers to plan, design, and set up workstations.
  • Oversee the building security system, fire alarm system, emergency response procedures, and surveillance systems.
  • Maintain a computerized work order system, including a preventative maintenance program, and modify it as necessary.
  • Keep accurate records of construction repairs, blueprints, and other pertinent documents.
  • Assist in preparing and planning for both short- and long-term facility needs.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, direction, assignment, training, development, performance evaluation, and oversight of direct reports.

Qualifications

  • A college degree or specialized training in facilities management, with a strong foundation in an engineering-related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience supervising facilities operations staff.
  • Operational knowledge of large-scale electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, fire alarm, and security systems.
  • Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Must maintain good physical condition and dexterity.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
