Transport Operations Coordinator

Position Overview:

The Transport Operations Coordinator serves as a vital link between Superior Ambulance and healthcare facilities, ensuring effective communication and adaptation to the dynamic transport requirements of the institution. This role also provides essential support to the transfer center, discharge planners, and social workers in facilitating and expediting patient transfers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and schedule various levels of transportation, assessing the required level of care based on patient needs.
  • Optimize transport prioritization to enhance discharge efficiency.
  • Gather billing information and necessary documentation.
  • Address common inquiries and escalate issues and complaints to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in the organization of patient belongings and documentation for transport.
  • Ensure compliance in obtaining required billing information, documents, and payments as per established protocols.
  • Exhibit knowledge and adherence to ambulance and medicar operational standards, specialty practices, and billing procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) license required within the first year of employment.
  • At least six months of relevant experience.
  • Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure and emergency situations.
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Consistently maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
