Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welding Fabrication Supervisor to join our team at IDEX. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the fabrication of materials and installation of products, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of welders to ensure manufacturing objectives are met, focusing on safety, quality, and delivery.
  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations, and plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions, and select equipment and plan the layout, assembly, and welding procedure.
  • Repair products using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment, and clean and prepare surfaces to be welded.
  • Set up, assemble, and tack weld parts, build up worn or defective surfaces, and bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
  • Use plasma equipment to dismantle assemblies and cut material to size and shape, and set up equipment and weld parts using TIG/MIG on aluminum, stainless steel, and other materials as needed.
  • Assemble parts by bolting, repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, and maintain equipment and work area cleanliness.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-year certificate from technical school and minimum 3 years welding experience or a minimum 5 years' welding experience.
  • Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience required.
  • Experience coaching and developing employees.
